The Garden Spa has reopened. Like everything else at Babylonstoren, the spa is inextricably linked to the farm and the ever-changing seasons. Set in a forest of bamboo, the pavilion is also made of bamboo and surrounded by lush greenery and trickling water and include treatment rooms, a chill room, hammam, hot spa and gym. There are also two outside treatment rooms, a small beach and outside pool.
The Farm Shop and On-line Shop are also open. The shops reflects the contemporary, unhurried lifestyle of the Farm with an abundance of seasonal goodies and delights that are made daily. The loaves from the Bakery are enhanced with flavours from the garden including beetroot, spinach, pumpkin and pear. In the Meat Room, traditional South African biltong is made and Italian inspired methods are used for the charcuterie and cured meats. Smoked bacon is also made and premium cuts of aged Chianina beef from the Farm’s own herd. The Cheese Room specialises in unaged cheese and guests are welcome to watch the cheesemakers through the glass at the back of the farm shop. The Lekker Room offers a tantalising array of sweet treats including chocolate, fudge, granola and rusks and the Scented Room has a stunning display of soaps, candles, bath oils and linen cloth.
