House Reef and Diving

The House Reef at Makunudu is exceptional – unspoilt, pristine and rich in marine life. There are 25 incredible dive sites around Makunudu, all within easy reach of the island. For longer dives where Nitrox is needed, this is provided at no extra cost.

Diving For All Abilities

The Madi Gaa dive is for all divers on the outside of the atoll where there is incredible marine life and where guests will invariably spot sharks, eagle rays and sting rays.

For Advanced Divers

Shark Point is for more advanced divers due to the currents at this oceanic pass where grey reef sharks, eagle rays and white and silver tip sharks can be spotted.

Manta Ray season is from Nov-April.

Sustainability

The 5* eco dive centre set up and maintain coral nurseries offshore, hold a conservation talk once a week for guests staying on the island and is part of Green Fins – a very engaged movement that shares conservation ideas with other dive centres.

This week, guests saw a hammerhead shark and many manta rays!
