Imvelo Safari Lodges are bringing white rhino back to
Hwange National Park

We are so proud and excited to announce a brand new conservation project. Imvelo are bringing rhino back to Hwange and have been working tirelessly throughout the pandemic to keep this massive project on track.  We want to share what is  happening on the ground with you in the final lead up to the rhinos’ welcome to Community land, adjacent to the Ngamo Plains of Hwange.

• It’s all about rhino, arguably the most threatened large African mammal.
• It’s about rhino on community land – not in a government Park or on private land.
• It’s about creating a self-sustaining buffer zone on Hwange’s boundary to protect one of Africa’s great Parks and the communities who live around it.
• It’s about establishing rhino in this area despite the COVID-19 pandemic and related collapse of safari eco-tourism.
